Frequently Asked Questions
What ages of clients do you work with?
Adolescents ages 12+ and adults.
Does what we talk about in therapy remain confidential?
Yes, your sessions are confidential. If you want any information released to another individual or business, the therapist will have you sign a release of information form. However, there are some exceptions required by law to this rule.
Exceptions include: Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse. The therapist is required to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately. If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person, the therapist is required to notify the police. If a client intends to harm himself or herself, the therapist will make every effort to work with the individual to ensure their safety. However, if an individual does not cooperate, additional measures may need to be taken.
What Is Your Cancellation Policy?
To cancel a scheduled counseling session, a minimum of 24 hours in advance of your session is required. If prior and timely notification is not given, you will be charged a $75 fee for the missed session. If you need to cancel your appointment, please call. If no one answers when you call, please leave a message.
I really want to invest in myself and get help, but I can’t afford the fees. What other options do I have?
If you are unable to pay the full price fee, but are still committed to investing in yourself, your family, and other relationships, there is an option for a sliding scale fee. The rate is based on household size and income. Insurance benefits would not be eligible in combination with a sliding scale fee. There are also community resources to help pay for services within the Tooele Valley. Please inquire about this when you contact us for services.
Do you provide emotional support animal letters?
We do not write letters for emotional support animals for current or new clients.
