Our Team

Darci Alston, CMHC, SUDC

Hi There! I’m Darci Alston. I know counseling can be scary, so let me try to break the ice by taking some time to tell you a little about myself. I am a licensed SUDC (Substance Use Disorder Counselor) and CMHC (Clinical Mental Health Counselor) in Utah.

I received my Bachelor’s at Utah State University and went on to earn my Master’s at Hawaii Pacific University. I have worked with clients of various ages, ethnic, religious and spiritual backgrounds. I am passionate about helping my community to celebrate diversity, improve ourselves and conquer our own stumbling blocks. I pride myself on being culturally sensitive to my clients needs.

My clients appreciate that I am warm, kind and genuinely believe in them. I believe that as our individual weaknesses are made stronger, we in turn empower our families, communities and society as a whole. Your goals are my goals as we both work towards the same thing– balance to a better life.

Bree Westwood, CMHC

Hello, my name is Bree Westwood! I have been a Clinical Mental Health Counselor for the last 9 years in Utah. I like to think a role of a therapist is to act as a tour guide. I believe the individual holds the answers to their success sometimes the person needs some guidance to find those answers. So let me tell you a little about myself to see if I would make a great tour guide (therapist) for you.

I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Southern Utah University and went on to earn my Master’s through University of Phoenix. I have worked with individuals 12 years old and up. I love what I do! Being a therapist is more than a job–it reflects a fundamental part of me that enjoys getting to know people at a real level. I love to witness individual growth.

The therapy process allows for authentic, face to face conversations that can be challenging and rewarding at the same time. As a therapist, I guide people through personal challenges and help ease emotional burdens, that can be very overwhelming to face alone. I love to empower people to achieve a healthier mind. I believe with a new mindset; people can grow new ways that enriches their lives personally and professionally.

Misty Ungricht, LCSW

Hello, I’m Misty Ungricht, LCSW. In my career I have had the opportunity to explore many aspects of trauma. I have a passion for treating trauma, including complex trauma. I have worked with a variety of clients who suffer from various mental health conditions. Some of these conditions include problems with posttraumatic stress (PTSD), dissociation identity disorder (DID), personality, autism (ASD), attachment, depression, anxiety and many others. My favorite methods of treatment include ACT and therapeutic practices informed by Internal Family Systems, EMDR, Somatic Experiencing and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.

My previous clients can attest that when I work with them it is a collaborative process to meet their treatment needs. If you are ready to explore some of your symptoms and shift from merely surviving to having a successful life, I will sit with you as we work together to answer questions and find healing.

Raquel Rhoads, CMHC

What’s up! I’m Raquel.  Originally from the Midwest to the Mountain West, I am making a home for myself at the base of the Oquirrh Mountains. I’ve begun home renovations and tend to my garden dutifully. I’m drawn to the novel and new. I enjoy creative outlets that allow me to channel my high energy.

Feeling stuck? Allow me to help you find creative solutions and create meaningful change. My goal is to build individual self-awareness, increase recognition of thought and change behavior patterns.  Together we will clean out the attic, unpack those memories and thoughts you’ve stashed in your brain. We will sort out what is helpful and put aside the things that no longer serve us.

Utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy and psycho education among other modalities, we will work together to improve your self-expression, communication, and decision making.  Let me be on your team and support you to make meaningful adjustments in your life.
